Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Who is Target Fit? Target Fit is the trading name of Target Fit PT Limited, registered at 15 High Street, London, E11 2AA, and registered with Companies House (number 09655421).
     

  2. How does Target Fit work? We are different to a standard gym/ health club. With Target Fit, you sign up to a fitness service whereby a trainer will assess you, ask you about your fitness goals, and then create you a personalised fitness regime. This regime will be written on the board beneath your name, for you to follow each time you're in the gym. Every few weeks, a trainer will talk with you about your progress and then adjust the programme accordingly. If you need further assistance, you can purchase 1:1 personal training with one of our trainers.
     

  3. What can I expect with my initial assessment? You will work with one of our trainers who will assess your current fitness abilities and ask you about your future goals. You will be required to do some exercises during the assessment, so please dress appropriately. It is your responsibility to notify us of any ongoing health issues, any disabilities (visible or otherwise) that may impact your training programme, and whether you are pregnant. 
     

  4. Are there changing and shower facilities in all of your studios? Yes. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, these facilities are are currently unavailable.
     

  5. Do you provide toiletries in your shower facilities? Yes, there are deodorant and shower gel/ shampoo, but you must provide your own towel. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, these facilities are are currently unavailable.
     

  6. Can I pay my membership online? Yes, you can. We accept debit and credit cards (including American Express) via our payments partner, Stripe.com.
    Please note: by purchasing a membership via our website, you authorise Stripe.com to automatically renew your membership by charging you at the end of your billing period. This is not a direct debit, but an authorisation of automatic renewal (similar to a Netflix of Amazon Prime subscription). You will receive an automated email seven (7) days prior to automatic renewal. To cancel, you must notify us in writing a minimum of five (5) days prior to your renewal date.

  7. I'm a 1:1 personal trainer client. Why do I pay the personal trainer separately instead of Target Fit? Aren't they all employees? No, all personal trainers are freelancers who use just use the Target Fit facilities. Whilst they may be freelancers, they do still represent Target Fit when using our premises. Our business model ensures the trainer gets 100% of their takings, whilst they pay a monthly rental fee to use the premises. This benefits you, the client, because you don't have to pay a Target Fit membership on top of what you pay the personal trainer.
     

  8. Do you provide towels? No.
     

  9. Are there water fountains? Yes, there are chilled water fountains. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, these facilities are are currently unavailable.
     

  10. Do you provide glasses for water? No; we are looking to reduce our use of single-plastics, therefore we advise you to bring your own water-bottles. 
     

  11. Are there lockers for me to store my valuables in? There are pigeons holes available for you to store your bags etc., but these are not lockable. Target Fit PT Limited hold no responsibility for items stored within these pigeon holes. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, these facilities are are currently unavailable.
     

  12. I'm a member of one studio; can I use the facilities at another? Yes. To gain access to the Collier Row studio, you must enter the security code, which can be found in the Members' Area of the website.
     

  13. Are classes part of the subscription? Each class is different. Some classes are complimentary to Target Fit members; some are not because they are facilitated by a third party. Third-party classes may or may not offer discounts to Target Fit members. Please read each class terms and conditions.

Wanstead-specific Questions

  1. Why are there no mirrors in the Wanstead studio?
    Wanstead is our largest studio, and therefore has more trainers on the floor who interact with you. Through those interactions, it is the trainer's job to adjust your form and help you with your workout, without you having to rely on a mirror. 
     

  2. Is there parking?
    There is paid on-street parking throughout Wanstead High Street.

    There is limited parking in front of Target Fit, but there is on-street parking nearby.

Yoga class-specific FAQs

  1. What should I bring?
    Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that you bring your own mat and a warm layer for relaxation. Blocks and bricks are provided.
     

  2. What should I wear?
    Something you can easily move and stretch in. You will be required to remove shoes.
     

  3. Is it ok to eat and drink before the session?
    It is advisable to avoid stimulants such as caffeine and sugar for at least 90 minutes before the session. Please ensure that you are adequately hydrated.
     

  4. What happens if I am running late?
    To avoid disruption to others and to ensure that everyone gets the full benefits of the class, entrance is not possible once the class has started. Please arrive at least 5 mins before the start time to settle on your mat.
     

  5. Is it ok to attend the class if I have an injury or medical condition?
    By registering for this class, you understand that yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. You recognise it is your responsibility to ensure that you are able to do the class and stop if you feel any discomfort. It is also your responsibility to notify the instructor of any injury, pregnancy, disability (visible or otherwise) or illness before every yoga class. It is your responsibility to consult a doctor as to whether you can attend a class where necessary. You also agree that you will not perform any postures to the extent of strain or pain. You accept that neither the instructor, nor the hosting facility, is liable for any injury, or damages, to person or property, resulting from your taking of the class. By attending you agree to take full responsibility for your health during the class.
